Amazon Web Services has announced the availability of AWS Outposts in Israel. AWS Outposts is a service that offers managed and customizable AWS-managed computing and storage cabinets (Racks). AWS Outposts enables customers to run computing, storage, database, and other AWS services within the customer’s enterprise computing system, as a managed service, that seamlessly connects to the wide range of AWS services in the cloud. AWS Outposts brings AWS Cloud Services, Infrastructure and Operating Methods to On-premises Datacenters and Co-locations. With AWS Outposts, customers can use the same AWS APIs, tools, and hardware in their computing centers, much like their use of the AWS cloud, and get a uniform hybrid computing system.
Customers in Israel, whose systems require low response time for different enterprise systems, local data processing or local data storage, can benefit from using AWS Outposts in Israel. Apps that include applications that need to respond quickly in real time, communicate with other local systems or control local on-site equipment – such as production floor equipment, medical management systems, and retail point-of-sale systems. Customers can also use AWS Outposts for securely storing and processing customer data in Israel. This capability is important for organizations in industries subject to regulation that includes local data storage requirements.
With AWS Outposts, clients in Israel can work with the AWS Partner Network to leverage their extensive experience in helping businesses move apps to AWS through assistance with all aspects of cloud-based projects. These can include, planning, transitioning and operating, as well as cloud strategy and technology consulting services to transfer services and systems to AWS Outposts. The partners to launch AWS Outposts in Israel are: AllCloud, CloudZone (MATRIX), Automat-IT Malam-Team.

Maccabi Health Services, one of Israel’s largest hospital funds, welcomed the arrival of AWS Outposts. With AWS Outposts customers can choose from a variety of computing options, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud Graphics Processing Amazon EC2, with or without the use of local storage, and in combination with Amazon Elastic Block Store Amazon EBS storage. Customers can easily run a wide range of AWS services locally, including: Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) Amazon Relational Database Service Amazon RDS, and Amazon Elastic MapReduce Amazon EMR, as well as connect directly to the services Regional: Such as Amazon Simple Storage Service Amazon S3 or Amazon DynamoDB through private communication connections.
