Dynabook Europe (formerly Toshiba) announced the Tecra A40-G. The new laptop shows premium performance, increased connectivity and security in a thin, but ‘tough’ and durable configuration.
Productive in any environment
The Tecra A40-G weighs 1.47 kg and transmits deceptive lightness: The computer has undergone a series of rigid tests – and a military standard – to ensure durability in all environmental and weather conditions. It is equipped with a battery that lasts for 13 hours¹ and fast charging capabilities – 30 minutes of charging will provide 4 hours of work. A 14 ”screen with reflection-driven coating reduces the weariness of the user’s eyes.
Powerful and connected
The PC enjoys a range of premium performance and connectivity features: It is equipped with Intel’s 10th-generation processors and a variety of SSD drive configurations. The latest Intel 802.11ax WiFi 6 version enables fast connectivity and optimal traffic tailored to market demands. Optional LTE connectivity for remote workers will provide the appropriate network connection. For external connectivity, the computer is equipped with a USB Type-C port as well as USB 3.1 ports – depending on the specification. Additional connectivity is provided by Gigabit LAN, HDMI port and micro-SD reader as well as optional USB-C.
“This computer has been very carefully designed to provide a mix of power and mobility for business people,” says Damian Zaum , president of GmbHDynabook Europe. “We are committed to continually developing and improving the Tecra line to fit any organization, regardless of size, industry, or requirements.”
Security at heart
The A40-G was designed with a great deal of thought into the security issue to ensure and prevent information leakage to hostile hands and cyber criminals. At the heart of the system are the dynabook BIOS and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) that together keep the information secure and eliminate third party risk. SecurePad with fingerprint reader and Smart Card reader as well as Intel® Authenticate / Windows Hello face recognition complete the tight security system and protect against unauthorized access.
The expected price for the computer – depending on the specification – starts at NIS 3,885 (before VAT).
The computer will be available from 2020 through Operator
