Huami has announced two new watches: the Amazfit GTS and the Amazfit Smart Sport Watch 3, which, like the GTR model launched earlier this month, are designed for the high segment of the market.
The differences between the two are evident mainly in design, but not only. The Amazfit GTS comes with a 1.65-inch AMOLED square screen with a resolution of 348 × 442 pixels. It is lightweight (24.8 grams without the strap) and is 9.4 millimeters thick.
Amazfit GTS is made entirely of hard, waterproof aluminum and the 220 millimeter / hour battery, similar to the Amazfit GTR’s 42mm version, will deliver up to 14 days of use. And heart rate, location sensor (GPS) accelerometer and compass.
In contrast, the Amazfit Smart Sport Watch comes in a circular design with a 1.34-inch screen at 320 × 320 pixels and is protected by hard glass. The watch is 48.6 millimeters in diameter, made of stainless steel (316L) and has 1.9 GB of storage for song storage and listening through glands.
It comes with a sporty tailor-made silicone strap that is easily interchangeable with any other 22-millimeter strap and weighs in at 59.6 grams. In addition, a special edition of the Smart Sport Watch will be offered with a frame made of titanium, a strap made of fluoro-rubber and weighing 68.7 grams.
Both models will be water-resistant, display a 300-millimeter / hour capacity but will only last for seven days in continuous use and 14 days in saving mode, which limits the device’s smart features. Continuous use of the clock position sensor will provide 70 hours of operation.
The Amazfit GTS is now being offered for sale in China for $ 125. Amazfit Smart Sport Watch 3 is available for sale in China for $ 180 for the basic model and $ 240 for the advanced model.
And there’s a teaser too
Finally, Huami provided a glimpse into a new, yet-to-be-launched fitness band known as Amazfit X, which is in development. The strap will feature a 2.07-inch AMOLED convex design with a battery that provides seven-day continuous use. The price of Amazfit X has yet to be announced but is guaranteed to be revealed later this year.
