The Galaxy Note 10 Plus is the flagship phone that currently arouses the most curiosity on the market. It has quite a few features that probably position it as the best phone in the Android market, and it manages to bring the prestige and uniqueness of the iPhones to this market.
Over the years, the Samsung Note series (Samsung) has been considered one of the leading if not leading of the Android phone market. It is also more prestigious than the other devices on the market. However, many of the features Samsung has introduced in the series are no longer considered unusual today: a large screen, a convex screen and a strong hardware – there are quite a few such devices on the market. Still, what does the Galaxy Note 10 Plus (Galaxy Note 10 Plus) have to offer its competitors? Yes, the S Pen, but not only.
Sparkling on the outside
The design of the Galaxy Note 10 Plus is meticulous. is very. It starts from the blend of the screen to the frame walls, the glass shell front and back, the symmetry of all the interfaces to the glittering and prominent colors. The back of the device has a mirror effect, so when it is on the table it is hard to miss. He didn’t look like any other device. The metal frame has refined curves and is more flat at the top and bottom, while the convex side screen provides the infinity contrast with endless continuity.
We got the device for color testing which is to our most beautiful taste Aura Glow. It offers a shade that varies according to the light and angle, allowing it to showcase a variety of rainbow colors. True, some may say that it does not really matter that the cover is used, but it is a very important feature of the customers who purchase the Note 10 because it gives the feeling of a luxury and sparkle just as much as the iPhones.
Indeed, when you hold the Galaxy Note 10 Plus you get the feeling that no Android-based phone is more prestigious than it is. It feels comfortable and steady in the hand, not particularly heavy compared to its size (196 grams), and the tilted buttons are at the right height. By the way, we would prefer that the shutdown and power button be on the right rather than on the left, nor would we be forced to use Bixby by default. Good to change that, because it took us a while to realize that the shutdown button went to the alert menu.
There is no 3.5mm headphone port for the first time on Samsung’s flagship phone. It is certainly not a matter of place. We believe the company has just decided that it is enough and enough, and has no more reason to endeavor and leave the old connection that many refuse to abandon. AKG headset with USB-C connection, but no 3.5mm adapter It is a pity that you did not take the opportunity to add a chip for advanced digital audio processing as LG does on its devices.
In the current generation, the screen is even bigger. It already stretches to a 6.8-inch diagonal from the previous-generation 6.4 inch. The resolution is 3020 × 1440 pixels, or + Quad HD, and the panel is Dynamic AMOLED. The screen did not change the external dimensions remaining 77.2 × 162.3 mm and the current device is even thinner than its predecessor with only 7.9 mm. Those who prefer more modest dimensions, this year and for the first time, Samsung has launched another model called the Galaxy Note 10, without Plus, which offers a 6.3-inch screen. Not that we expected otherwise, but it is no longer possible to reach with one hand to the top of the screen, so anyone who gets into big screens will probably prefer the reduced model.
Either way, this is a very high-quality screen, one of the top quality in the field today. It supports + HDR, offers a density of 498 pixels per inch, and showcases natural and pleasing colors, absolute black as well as OLED and high brightness even in direct sunlight. We’d be happy if Samsung adopted the Galaxy Note 10 Plus with a higher refresh rate as standard, something that a number of other competitors have already done.
The camera nozzle at the top is almost imperceptible during use, and is very small compared to any other drawback. It ‘catches’ at most one icon in the notification bar at the top, and may be slightly interfering with games only. Watching the content is not noticeable at all.

Scribble in the air
Another reason for the prestige aura enjoyed by the Galaxy Note series is the Pen S Pen, and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus Samsung further enhanced its capabilities. It offers a variety of familiar features such as reminder writing even when the screen is off, a smart choice for cutting and writing screenshots, close-ups, and more, and has expanded the options for decoding actions performed by air, which it has already dubbed in the previous generation.
Among other things, a pen can be used to perform various operations on the system. This way, in Chrome (Chrome), you can do one click back, double click forward. You can also swipe the pen up or down to scroll the page and more. The same functions also work in the Photo Gallery and other applications.
In our opinion when using the camera the S-Pen’s aerial gestures are the most useful. Pressing the button to take a photo, double-clicking between the cameras, swiping the pen to the right or left will change the shooting modes, turning a clockwise circle will trigger close-up and clockwise drawing will open the image for greater distances.
All the options and gestures can be customized and customized in the system settings and Samsung hopes that with the release of the Developer Kit (SDK) more apps will be released that allow the use of air gestures. Currently the number of supported applications is quite limited.
In addition, Samsung has also added a new feature called ‘Layered Reality Doodle’ which allows you to draw on an object or face shown in an image or video and apply the doodle in real-time on the display. With the exception of a few minutes of amusement and some sharing on social networks, we don’t see this option as particularly popular.
Fourth lens
The Galaxy Note 10 Plus photo array is growing and already has four cameras. The basic set is very similar to the one on the Galaxy S10 Plus : a main lens with a 12 megapixel sensor and a wide aperture f / 1.5 lens, a telephoto lens that also has a 12 megapixel sensor size and offers a f / 2.1 key with a 2x optical zoom and stabilizer Optical image. The sensor size of the third lens is 16 megapixels and this is the wide camera in the array. The fourth lens is not expressed as a user function, but is designed to measure depth and uses the Live Focus effect. The sensor-based selfie lens is 10 megapixels with aperture size f / 2.2.
The camera works quickly and focuses very quickly on objects, even at night. We liked the three-lens variability – switching between a standard lens, a zoom lens or an ultra-wide lens is done with the click of a button, which is very useful whether you want to focus on a particular object or take a wide-angle view.
However the experience is not completely smooth. We encountered problems mainly when using the lens with a particularly wide lens. Since the lenses are arranged vertically on the left upper edge of the device, it is difficult not to accidentally insert the fingertips into the image. It would be preferable if the ultra-wide lens was positioned at the bottom of the array rather than at the top.
We took the highest quality pictures with the regular lens and a particularly wide lens. When using the telephoto lens with 2x zoom, the sharpness decreases, and there are also many extra grains in areas where the camera is trying to blur the background. The night mode also eventually detracts from the picture, since although it manages to bring in more light – the image looks artificial and unnatural.
Samsung has added video support to Live Focus mode, which should take the background blur one step further. In pictures it works much better than video, even if not in the best way. But it’s definitely an impressive ability and the camera manages to detect real-time motion and apply the blur.
In the video field, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus offers photo quality up to 4K at 60 frames per second. There are a number of photo modes such as slow gear, hyper-time-lapse and, as mentioned, live focus video. The novelty is in a feature called ‘Zoom-in Mic’, which recognizes the character the camera is facing and increases its sound when zoomed in. Kindly function but you can’t expect the audio to be high quality from a great distance and that is indeed the case.
Hardware and battery
Galaxy Note 10 Plus comes with system on Exynos 9 Octa 9825 octa-core processor: 2 cores M4 Mongoose The company’s development at 2.7 GHz, 2 Cortex A75 cores at 2.3 GHz and 4 cortex A55 cores at 1.9 GHz Hertz. Next to it is the largest working memory available on Samsung and Android devices – 12GB of LPDDR5 and internal storage of 256 or 512GB of fast UFS 3.0. There’s also a microSD expansion slot, which by the way doesn’t exist in the standard Note 10 model.
In the performance tests, he managed to bypass the Galaxy S10 slightly, but he scored lower than the OnePlus 7 Pro. On AnTuTu, he received 350,294 points on examination, compared with 369,922 points for Van Plus. When tested with GeekBench, the Note 10 received a score of 10,604 points in multi-core and 4,556 points in a single core. Here too, a slight difference in favor of Van Plus.
The Galaxy Note 10 Plus battery has a larger capacity than the previous generation and offers 4,300 millimeters / hour. At the end of our very busy day we managed to stay with 30% battery, which is good but also very average. Most of our use was when the + Full HD resolution was the default, and probably if we went up to the + Quad HD resolution the data would change accordingly.
In the GeekBench battery life test that performs various operations while the screen is on, the device was able to achieve a continuous 11 hours and 18 minutes. That’s about what we got with the OnePlus 7 Pro , and like we said – a good place in the middle.
Samsung does not attach the ultra-fast charger that offers 45 watts of power and guarantees full charging within 30 minutes. Instead, it comes with a 25-watt charger and USB-C cable on both ends. Even with such charging, he manages to charge about 20% in fifteen minutes.
Besides, the device supports reverse charging, which allows charging products that support the Qi wireless charging standard on the back of the device and it can be a watch like Galaxy Watch , Galaxy Buds headphones or any other product. Of course this is slower charging than connecting to a dedicated charger.
The stereo speakers should also be commended. One is at the bottom near the pen and the other at the top and hidden from the user’s eyes. The audio quality is good and provides a proper complement to the viewing and playing experience.
The bottom line
The Galaxy Note 10 Plus is the most intriguing flagship device on the market today. He has quite a few features that probably make him the best device in his field, and he and manages to bring the prestige and uniqueness that the iPhones also have to the Android devices. The S Pen is still the main feature of the series, with no competitors in the market. There are a few other things that can be improved such as high display frequency, greater battery time and stop with the many gimmicks or just ignore them.
As befits a flagship device, the price of the Note 10 Plus is relatively expensive, starting at NIS 3,699 and varying between stores
